Hello you,
As many of you know, I am experimenting to see if it twitter is a useful tool for bcotmedia students next academic year.
If you use twitter please follow @bcotmedia so we can determine whether or not it is worthwhile.
FYI - I will not ’follow’ you back as a respect of student privacy, and because the only purpose of the @bcotmedia account is to enhance your learning by making lectures more fun and relevant to your interests.
That is all.

NME’s run-down of the most watched music videos of all time. Who is the winner: Gaga? Bieber? Jonas Brothers?
My dear Tutees, what would you like to do?

It seems that there is a bit of a problem in L3 Creative Media (Year One).
During their lessons James and Joe’s love/ hate relationship has been distracting other students from getting their work complete.
I want to thank Joe and James for being such good sports and allowing the class to conduct research into the problem for Unit 3: Research Techniques.
Please note that I will be in college on Tuesday 31st May and Wednesday 1st June (08:00-14:00) to help you get the grades you want in S220.
The Guardian Student Media Awards 2011 has now launched! If you are a NUS card holding student and you want to break into the media why not enter and take the first step in launching a successful career.

Charlie Brooker is probably the most interesting media critic/ presenter/ journalist we have right now, and has an articulate and satirical opinion on all the topics we cover in each Unit - I heartily suggest you have a look at some of his work:
PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT HE DOES USE THE ODD SWEAR WORD BUT AS WE ARE ALL OVER 16 (AND THE LINKS BELOW HAVE ALL BEEN PUBLISHED IN NEWSPAPERS OR SCREENED BEFORE THE WATERSHED) - I THINK WE ARE OKAY.
Here is a collection of links to his TV shows:
- ‘How to report the news’ from ‘Newswipe’: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aHun58mz3vI (Contains some swearing - but i reckon you can handle it)
- ‘Aspirational TV’ from ‘Screenwipe’: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=59OJ17raqWw (Again, a bit of swearing - probably best to not watch it unless you have headphones on)
- Introduction to the history of video games from ’Gameswipe’: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sIb8JdoWF00 (he behaves himself in this one)
Here is his blog:

Thanks for the feedback.
I will speak to you about helping me to edit the video nearer the time.
